The Bourne scenes come immediately to mind but I just saw Ronin and forgot how insane that scene is. Ronin gets my vote!

Loved the chase in Ronin, but my favorite since I saw it in the theater in 1968 and several times since is the one in Bullitt.
Gene Hackman chasing the train in The French Connection is also very good.

Bourne movies, To Live and Die in LA has a great one. Ronin has an epic car chase. The Italian Job ( the original) is good.
Ive also heard that Bullitt is one of the best...however I have not seen the movie.![]()
GO BADGERS! (UNIVERSITY OF WISCONSIN-MADISON)
Blues Brothers...trashed a mall to film that.
Bullitt and Bourne are definitely good car chases. The transporter movies with Jason Statham also had good chase/getaway driving scenes.

I'm not bald, okay? I shaved my head. Do you "unda-staand"?
+1 to both those.
The opening scenes to Quantum of Solace (Bond) has gotta be in the top 10.
The second Matrix movie is the only outrageous car chase scene that was actually too long. I never thought I'd say "enough already" to one of those, but it got kinda ridiculous.
Sometimes I doubt your commitment to Sparkle Motion.
Ronin was quite good... If you look at the speedometer in the tunnel, they are going at 70km/h which is pretty face against traffic...
The Taxi series (specially 1 and 2) French version, not the Queen Latifah version... Insane car chases, except when the car fly...

Bullitt. It still has not been surpassed.
Bullit for me as well...it amazingly takes place with about zero dialogue. For comic relief the car chase in Blues Brothers is pretty great too.
It lathers like a Howitzer!
My favorite part about the chase in Bullitt is that the Charger looses 6 hubcaps in that chase.![]()
Bullitt gets my vote. I can not handle the bouncy camera in the Bourne movies. I think they would be better with out that effect. They also cut to a different shot way too fast. I focus on one shot and .00034 seconds later they are switching to another shot, then they do it again. My eyes just can't handle their cinematography.
I know I might sound old from this post but I was born 13 years after Bullitt was made, and it is still one of my favorite movies.

Having driven the same streets for years added to it.

1 Vote for Jason Bourne..
1 Vote for Ronin
1 Vote for the street scene in Against All Odds if only because of the sound of the 308GT-S as it buries the Porsche Cabrio... Driver stupidity plays a part in the win.
Somewhat unrelated... check out the Getaway in Stockholm vids. Not chase scenes but a series of very highly (properly) modified street cars, tearing up the streets in and around Stockholm in the early morning hours. These aren't street kids racing Integra's... they are highly skilled professional drivers in 935's, McClaren's and other exotics. Great for home theatre buffs...![]()
Bullit is the Classic car chase.
Quantum of Soalce came to mind for me as well....
But let's think outside the box here, gentlemen....I give you my nomination for best car chase:
