Default oh boy oh boy oh boy!!!!

Any of you gents read graphic novels?

The Walking Dead is a great, great series drawn in beautiful black and white about a group of people dealing with a world plagued by zombies. Yeah, that's righ: Zombies. Problem with that? It really is a good story of survival and human relationships. It's much less about killing monsters than it is about living in a truly unpredictable world where the real monsters might just be the humans trying to survive.

AMC optioned it for a series. It's currently in production and is set to air in October. Here's the first full cast still. Exactly as the book!

I'm really excited about this, and thought I would share!

Haven't read the graphics, but I've been following this a bit, looks cool. I'll have to pick up the books first.

the best part is that it's by Frank Darabont, whom I thought did a fantastic job with Stephen King's Shawshank Redemption and The Mist.

sadly, I don't have cable so can't watch it. at least i'll have something to look forward to when it gets released on dvd

Never saw The Mist, but I did enjoy shawshank quite a lot as well as The Green Mile. I think this series has a lot of potential. There hasn't been much lately that I've been excited about.

Man that first shot is just perfect. They really casted well to match the characters.

I'm a little nervous with where the novel is heading, not sure I'm buyin' what Rick is sellin' right now.

Graphic novels at their best are great. A wonderful modern development in literature!
