Default FS: Shavemac 167 Custom Made Extra Dense 32mm knot

    SOLD

I have spent the past few weeks toiling with what I should do. My 32 mm knot, my Shavemac, My favorite brush I've ever had, my favorite brush, what should I do?

Well, I've come to a conclusion, this is a fantastic brush and I'll miss her but I have to get her go.

This brush has been used 5 times only with either rose cream or rose QED soap and I love it, but I have to let her go, so I am.

Shavemac 167 Extra Dense Custom made 32mm knot This is the biggest and best brush I've ever used period.

needless to say you, don't have to give a specific reason, but it seems you've been selling quite a few of your brushes lately, and I was wondering why you would sell your favorite one? If anything I'd keep that one and sell all the others. You buy an electric or something? Just curious

I guess that i've sold somewhere in the neighborhood of 40-50 of my brushes in the past 3 months, most purchased to be used in rotation and what i've kept, thus far, are the brushes I enjoy the most. Here's what I have remaining:

    Sabini/Rooney finest syle 1 large
    Simpsons T3 Super
Plisson 12 HMW Horn (presently for sale)
    Plisson 12 EW faceted horn
Rooney super style 3 small super
Sabini/Rooney real ebony style(?) super small (used as a travel brush)
    EJ silvertip medium
    Omega silvertip horn large
    Omega silvertip horn medium
    Muhle-Pinsel silvertip horn
Savile Row 3118 (travel brush alternate)

The best, in my opinion, all-around brush is the Sabini/Rooney finest with either of the Plissons close behind. The T3 is a close 3rd.

I do have Kent T12 which isn't a shedder and is the only noticeably scritchy brush that I presently own - still nice to use occasionally.

That said, I still have a fair number of brushes that i've collected and most aren't used - just displayed.

edit: Sorry for the impulsive hijack

Oh and I'm so glad to be on the receiving end of these 3 that get a good rotation thanks to being "cast off" from Texas.

Tim or Patrick you guys have a pic of that Shavemac? I shave my head so the big brushes are right up my alley. I have a few big brushes on my wish list (large Rooney, Simpson Chubby 3 and PL12 in super, and a big Shavemac). So, I'm green with envy (and it's not from St. Paddy's Day) every time this gets bumped. Fast catch Patrick!
