Default I need a break from shaving!

I shaved yesterday, so close that I used a feather in one shave. Today I tried to do the same. My face needs a break for a couple days. I guess my hot date will have to wait. For the first time in my life, I noticed that my neck wishers are like a wire brush, I dont know what to think of it. Its one big coincidence, join B&B, learn to use soap, find out that my face has wire whiskers. What are you's doing to me! I guess I never paid so much attention before. I hope my few pesonal notes are fine. Papi

i noticed the same sharper feeling stubble when i started wetshaving. i think the general consensus here is that sharper de blades cut the hair off more parallel to the face rather than at a slightly oblique angle like their cartridge brethren. when it grows back, you feel the solid shaft of hair rather than just a tip that grows in little by little.

Sounds right! I noticed the same thing when I started a few years back.

As far as taking a break...do what I'm doing...grow a beard for a few weeks so you can shave it off!

I doubt DE blades cut that much differently than cartridge blades do.. it's much more likely that you're simply paying a lot more attention to your whiskers than you did in the past.

There is definitely a difference in the feel of your whiskers...no question. I understand what you're saying about paying more attention to your face/shave/whiskers...but at the same time when you start DE shaving and you let your stubble grow out you can definitely something is different.

Yeah after thinking about this. Besides paying more attention. The only change in my routine is learning how to use that nice soap and brush. What it is, every one has softer skin!, thats it.

I've noticed just the opposite. I've always had super wiry facial hair (I will subconsciously use my cheek to scratch the back of my hand). Now that I'm DE shaving, the shaves are so much better that it takes 48 hours to build up enough stubble to work as an effective abrasive. A single pass every day leaves me nice and soft (not BBS, but whiskers too short to be very scratchy).

You are paying more attention because you are spending more time over there...

Sometimes, it pays to stop for a bit... Good luck!
