Thread: Unscented Balm?

    Default Unscented Balm?

My skin dries out pretty quickly when I use a splash, so I usually follow it up with a balm. The thing is, I'm not fond of combining scents, so I end up just using an alum block before the balm and skipping the splash.

Does anyone know of a good, completely unscented balm that I can layer over a splash without affecting the scent? I realize that there are some very moisturizing splashes out there, but that doesn't include a lot of my favorites.

That's actually the closest thing I've got to an unscented balm at the moment. It's good, and the scent is very mild and inoffensive, but I'm looking for something that doesn't really smell at all, if such a beast exists.

You might try the fragrance free shave soother by eshave. It's light and a little goes a long way.

The Gentlemen's Refinery makes a nice unscented balm, though it is quite pricy, and not the most moisturizing balm in the world, yet it still does a good job.

Feather's Kanwa is cheap, unscented and very effective.

Folks tend to rave about Charles Roberts' aftershave conditioner. Expensive, but you can be stingy with it.

    My thoughts exactly.

Proraso ASB has a very mild scent to my nose.

I have an allergy to pretty much anything scented. I use AOS unscented aftershave balm and have not noticed any scent to it. It is a little of the $$ side, $22 a bottle, but last me at least five months. It is one of the few I have used that gives me no reaction at all. The only thing is that is does leave a little of a glossy sheen.
