Hebrew National and Nathan's. I've only tried them both within the last year or so, and now I can't stand normal everyday hot dogs. Honestly, eating a Nathan's dog is more like eating a steak.

For several years my favorites have been Ball Park Franks (beef franks). A couple of days ago I picked up some Nathan's Famous All Beef Franks and they're really good.

I used to love Oscar Meyer but not so much any more.

Nathan's are great. There is a hot dog made here in Erie, PA called Smith's that is a huge regional favorite, but I don't eat pork, so I shy away from them. The new Ball Park Angus are really, really good.

Has anyone tried that place in Jersey that deep fries their hot dogs? They call them 'rippers'. I had my local hot dog place do the same, and it tasted pretty damn fantastic.

I have to mention that here in Buffalo I think we have the very best local brands...............Wardynski's, Sahlen's, Redlinski's. I love hot dogs and never buy anything but our local stuff!

Have to agree with the if you ever get a chance try your self a grilled Sahlens.
