I can't imagine trying to direct this. The book is so incredibly gruesome. It's one violent scene after another. I don't know how it can be done. And who can play The Judge? When I read the book, the character made me think of Marlon Brando as Kurtz in Apocalypse Now. If I could pick any actor to play The Judge it would be Brando. He would have the force and presence to pull it off. As he's dead, I have no idea who could do it. Maybe Mickey Rourke? Definite maybe. I can't think of anyone.

They had been talking about it for awhile. Tommy Lee Jones was one of the project backers. I think it will be a tough film to pull off. The late Peckinpah could have directed and Williiam Holden could had play the Judge. Danny Huston could pull it off as the Judge
