    Default Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet

I got a sample of this fragrance with my EJ98L from TESC and finally put some on this morning. I have to say this is one of the best scents I have ever had the privilege to experience. I want my entire life to smell like this. If only it wasn't so expensive. It'll be hard to pull the trigger on this.

Many years ago, my brother gave me a generous gift of Penhaligon's products, which included Blenheim Bouquet. This became a quick favourite, and I went on to buy BB shaving cream, shaving soap and even BB talc.

I find the scent to be very unique, bracing and light, not cloying or heavy. It seems to never overwhelm or offend, and its my wife's favourite when I wear it.

I've used pretty much everything Penhaligon's offers and for me BB is the far-ahead winner.

    Best,

    Chris

Give in! I picked up BB a couple of years back and remain crazy about it. No, it isn't cheap, but there's no substitute. I wear it on special occasions, so the investment can be stretched out.

That is pretty much the way I felt about BB when I first came across it, and it has stayed absolutely in my top five scents forever after. It seems controversial in some quarters, but I barely "get" why myself. (Not really true. I more or less "get" why. But it is purely a matter of YMMV and I adore this scent!)

You should not have to pay list price if you are patient and/or put some work into it and/or willing to take some level of chance.

BB shows up at decent prices on the BST here from time to time. You generally have to be pretty quick on this particular scent though.

There are EBay sellers in the UK who seem reliable who have it delivered for much less than list price, but you may be taking somewhat of a chance buying from an non-authorized seller and having it shipped all that way, etc. I have bought from them, but I could be completely burned on an individual transaction and still be way ahead of the game so I may be differently situated than you.

And who knows, particularly given your active duty status, maybe some B&B member will take note and do you a solid in some manner to help get you some of this juice in a reasonable manner!

+1 on the UK eBay vendors. I've heard that people have found good deals on real juice.

I'm not a BB fan myself, but it's nice to find something that you really like. Life is short--it would be a shame to deny yourself a little pleasure like this.

Its not really that hard after you've used it a few days...its money well spent! I'm not much of a cologne guy, but I dont think I'll ever be without my BB unless they go out of business!

It's a very nice scent. The three that get the bulk of use in my shave den are the vintage 1977 Jubilee Old Spice aftershave, anything vetiver and Blenheim Bouquet.

From the reviews I always thought that BB was the cologne equivalent of running down the plebeians in your gold plated BMW; kind of like an aristocratic roundhouse to everyone else's face. It's interesting to see so many people finding the scent light, pleasant, and everyday wearable.

More to me like running down plebians in your chauffer-driven highly polished black Bently (never, ever gold plated) or perhaps the company-owned limo. And not so much a roundhouse to everyone else's face, but more like what to wear when presenting a report to the board of directors recommending that the company's new owners fire 1/2 the employees and loot the pension plan. Aloof. Plutocratic. Never overt. Maybe a little bit of a gentleman is never unintentionally rude.

That is perhaps its disguise! Outer charm and an icey cold interior. Those familiar with its kind with recognize it. Those that are not will not notice the flashing red lights and sirens that should be going off!

IMHO, if you're writing things like that about BB, you should try to find a way to get some (obviously not if doing so would really be financially irresponsible). How often do you find things you like that much? Besides, a bottle of cologne should last a long time.

You all make far too much sense. Ordered a bottle last night. It should last quite a while.

Obsessed, you're right. If something so simple makes you so happy, go for it (if you have the means).
