Product ( Word) placement, its a form of advertising/marketing fro products in the entertainer media.
If that was real product placement, doesn't it seem odd, since there was no scene and they are competitors?

They most likely plugged 3 shave companies with words , Buster Keaton is one of the top movie directors of all time, he is also one of the top actors of all time. He is a very versatile multi talented entertainer. He could easily have thought up this ingenious multi advertising idea with competing shave companies. What is could it be? A funny shave line?
