i just saw an episode of family guy when peter was making erotic books (peterotica). one of the books is called "shaved new world" and the chick on the cover is holding a DE.

another one i thought of when i was at disneyland this last weekend. i was riding a peterpan ride and it made me think of when mr. smee was going to shave captain hook and shaved a seagull instead lol mr smee was using a straight.

A film I saw in the past week, "Intouchables." It's in French (w. subtitles) and is based on the true story of a French aristocrat who is a paraplegic and after going through a number of caretakers, hires a young man from the projects in Paris. In one brief scene towards the end, the aristocrat, injured in a paragliding accident, has grown a beard and the caretaker is shaving it off with what appears to be a Merkur open comb, and a badger brush with a black handle.

"Dressed to Kill" from 1980. A straight razor is used as a murder weapon, a shaving kit is shown with a badger brush (and razor missing) and the movie opens with a woman's fantasy of watching her psychiatrist shave while she's in the shower.

Anyone watch the Animal Planet tv show called Call of the Wildman with Turtleman? The latest previews show him shaving with his Bowie knife. I've only seen a couple of shows so I don't know if the shaving scene is from an upcoming show or one that already aired.

Great 80's film.....This film should be called the Straight razor murders...many non shaving str8t razor scenes

1st is the husband shaving as Angie Dickson showers.
then after that the razor is scene in all of the film as the bad person is killing people with it ( dont want to give away the plot)

Just finished seeing it, its 2nd best French film of all time. The scene has Driggs returning back to Phillipe and gives him a quick shave with a Open Comb razor. Very good film overall. Thanks for sharing it.

I just ran across this film clip on another shaving site (while searching on a random impulse for information about what kind of razor Winston Churchill used). The clip has probably been posted here before as well, but it struck me as appropriate to put it up again this weekend. The shaving scene at 8:08 is fun, but the whole clip is well worth watching, especially (on Memorial Day) the short scene that begins at 7:08.
    here is Mr Churchill shaving
