It was a shavette....nice recollection. This Film is from one my favorite directors, he is half spanish and white , George Romero. Known as the' God Father of Zombie' films.

in Ken Burn's Baseball documentary, during the 6th Inning episode, there are several shots of stadiums with big GEM Clog-pruf adverts in the outfield and score cards with GEM adverts as well. not really a shaving scene, but i thought it was cool.

I don't know if this has been mentioned, but in the TV show Kung Fu there was an episode where David Carradine dry shaved his head with a straight razor.

It was a cool doc...I got the scenes. I think he is working on a 2nd Doc.

Heroes/ tv show..Season 1 - Sylar straight shaves several times. Season 3 Episode 20 starting at 1:05 - Danko starts shaving, with very brief closeups of his gear - a large badger brush, soap from a wooden bowl (Trumpers?), Gillette 7 A.M. Platinum blades in a TTO (Parker?)
Hideaway (1995) Jeff Goldblum starts to shave with what looks like a Gillette slim. In the middle of shaving he opens a drawer and picks up a TTO razor with a white (plastic?) handle which I don't recognize.
High Plains Drifter (1973) Clint Eastwood's getting a shave and the bad guys go to ambush him, he shoots first of course. (Might have been Hang em High?)

I don't know. Sorry. I was just channel surfing and happened upon the scene. It's pretty impressive. He shaves his entire head completely bald with a straight; no water, no lather. And the scene lasts quite a while.

I was doing some serious channel hopping tonight as there wasn't much on tv when i happened upon a shaving scene in Foyles war episode Fifty ships the shaving starts at 3.43 with what look's to me like a gillette maybe aristocrat jr (TTO knob looks solid)
