I guess I won't tell you how long it took to find it, lol.

Maybe should institute an informal "group buy" for people interested in the professional versions.
Thanks I had been using Yahoo/SBCglobal search and got the run a round.

The 13061 has an awesome handle. Who carries these here in the states?

Thanks, $40 isn't that much for a good brush...

Yep. I've got a thread somewhere about the 13800 (sent to Wil Dorenbos), which I'm using to chronicle my current experience with the 13061. I much prefer its larger knot.

Yeah, I've paid a lot more. But once you break $25 for anything other than badger, some people start raising eyebrows. I expected people considering a horse hair brush were likely expecting prices in the area of Omega Boars, and $40 might be a shock.

That is the most expensive but it appears to be the to of their horse hair line, bullgoose has another for 25 and Bestgrooming tools has a couple more in the $25 range.

I am shocked I never paid more than 9,75 usd (shipped) for a good horse brush. But the handles of Vie-Long are great. Must admit I am thinking of asking a Vie-Long horse pro for my birthday (12 euro shipped).

Still not sent to you! Haha..... I'll get around to it, someday.

With approximately 30 latherings since I'd last spoken about the 13061, I'd same its performance has improved dramatically. What I assume are the supporting tail hairs still lend some pricklishness once any pressure is applied, but it's very muted compared to when I had first complained about it. The tips are still very, very soft otherwise.

The biggest improvement I've noticed is that the knot does not get waterlogged anymore. Usually, I only shake brushes to drive the water out, but water was getting trapped deeply within the knot and making face lathering problematic. I'd had to squeeze the base, which I'm not particularly fond of. I think it's because the brush has been broken in by now, and the hair feels like they've loosened up (not in the bad way), so the flow through is pretty good. Of course, the hair does absorb water much more readily, only requiring about 1 minute to saturate. I know some others have stated their horsehair brushes don't hold onto water or lather very well - that is not a problem with this brush.

I believe the loft is still too long for the dedicated face latherer, but I'm really fond of short loft brushes, so my opinion might be a bit skewed. I'm certain you'll like it, though.

BUT I did hear you have an all-tail horsehair brush in your possession. How is that one working out so far?

I have been using one of the Red ones since I last posted only issue they have stored in some where hot and dry and the paint has come off the handle from where the Hair enters the handle down to the top of the Kambro logo. Other than that the Brush works great with hard soaps and with CO Bigelow Cream.
