Default Musgo Real start to finish shave?

    Anyone use this combo:
Musgo Real preshave soap, not the body soap but the one that specifically says its for facial cleansing preshave
    Musgo Real preshave oil
    Musgo Real shave cream
Musgo Real Aftershave splash, classic scent
    Musgo Real Aftershave balm

If so thoughts? Are the scents all similar? Would this be a good combo for sensitive skin?

I have the soap, cream, and aftershave, and the scents are not similar.

I use the the cream and aftershave splash, cant really see using the balm after the splash.

i use the preshave, cream and cologne (no. 2)

the preshave oil has a strong scent of eycalyptus, if i apply too much it really gets to my eyes. Great product though, closest shave i've had in a while.

my skin is fairly sensitive, and with musgo i get less, if any irritation than with taylor of old bond str. for example.

Musgo Real preshave soap — not necessary, save your money and purchase a soft and gentle (hand)soap

Musgo Real preshave oil — preshave oils are a complete waste of time and money in principle, spend time improving technique!

Musgo Real shave cream — A+ shaving cream

Musgo Real Aftershave splash, classic scent — an unusual splash. almost like a balm in splash form, scent is fine its own right, pretty long-lasting too, but only com-pa-ra-ble to the shaving cream (cream is much more herbaceous)

Musgo Real Aftershave balm — not necessary after using a splash (or vice versa), cannot comment on the scent as I've never sampled it, but word is that it's the same as the splash

(Colognes: simple, straightforward, classic in formulation, unfortunately not for me, and none of them smell like the cream.)

I must disagree, it does wonders for me.

As I said, a waste of time and money. See here for a longer explanation I wrote some time ago. In short: you are essentially applying something to your face which is more or less the equivalent of what makes a shaving cream/soap a shaving cream/soap. The only difference is that one is water-soluble, and the other is not. Of course it's perfectly possibe that you just shave with the oil; but if you absolutely require the combination it indicates (major) problems in your technique or incompatibility with the soap or cream you're using.

It's because the oil is not water soluble that a thin layer stays on your face and makes it possible to re-touch without more lather. It also makes the leading and trailing edge's of the razor glide better if the lather begins to get dry. It's really pretty simple. Do I use it? No I don't feel the need to use it since I started using a DE. Put some on your face and run a razor over it. You will still have some oil left on your skin. How does it disappear when lather sits on top of it?
