Other than price, is there really any difference between Thierry Mugler Cologne and Creed Original Vetiver?

I'm not overly familiar with either, but I know both are held in pretty high regard at Basenotes.
The big knock on Mugler Cologne is that is a very fleeting scent (as are most colognes). Most people think OV hangs around a good while.

I have tried both. The opening of both are somewhat the same, Mugler being more to the sharp melon/citrus/vetever and OV more to the smooth, fresh vetever. However, Mugler turns rank on My skin after about 20-30 minutes. a strange bitter stench indeed. The OV is a very natural and evolves into an even better scent in the drydown IMHO. I really enjoy the OV, good longevity as well. The downside is the price.
