    Default Shower gels/soaps

Rather thank start a poll, I'd like to hear what the thinking is on Shower gels/soaps.

I've gone through Truefitt & Hills cologne bath gels and was not impressed at all, especially the 1805 which fell flat. Caswell & Massey's Greenbiar is very pleasant and lasts quite a bit through the day.

    Thoughts on the "Best"?

Have you tried the T&H West Indian Limes bath/shower gel and soap? I think they are great. I have found that when I shower in the morning and come home in the late afternoon the smell is still there, that tells me it is strong stuff and I can safely assume the scent is working on me all day long.

On the other hand, the scented T&H shampoos are just so so (I assume for all scented soaps as well to include Trumpers etc..) ; I only use it before going to bed, as I will not be putting any gels/pomades into my air... However, I do encourage you to try the T&H frequent use and thickening shampoo; they are fantastic in my book and do a great job on my FINE hair.

I also use the complete T&H West Indian Limes line as part of my shaving rotation, it is my favorite one and since using it, I have gotten several compliments on the balm, aftershave and cologne scent.

    Welcome aboard!

Joe's right - the T&H Limes is some seriously intense stuff.

I have to admit I am a shower gel junkie. I need to get as much scent into my life as possible, and I also like to match my shower scent to what I am shaving with/what cologne I will wear.

I have very dry skin, so the key criteria for me besides scent is moisturizing properties. It is hard to beat the offerings from Crabtree and Evelyn. All of their products lather well, smell great, and don't dry your skin. The Nomad and Sandalwood scents are simply fantastic. I am less enamoured of Sienna, but many love it around these parts.

Don't overlook Baxters - cheap and nice smelling. I also like the Molton Brown Black Pepper Body wash; interesting scent.

    That should get you started!

    Thanks,

I've been using Dr Bronner's Peppermint these last 2 weeks and it's fantastic stuff--kind of like bathing with a tube of Proraso!

I'm also a big C&E Nomad fan. The shave cream and deodorant are great. I opted out of trying the bath gel, but I might reconsider.
