Default FS: Kent BK4 Silvertip with Case

SOLD *** Partial refund issued for $5. FINAL SALE PRICE $43 SHIPPED CONUS

I have a Kent BK4 that I've had in the rotation for about a month. It's a fantastic brush- just time for me to move on to others in my collection. It has some wear to the logo, but other than that, very little shedding and absolutely no damage. This brush has a very nice bloom and the tips are soft. The knot isn't what I would call firm but also isn't floppy. It's great for creams although I've used it with soaps. Amazon has this one for over $150 (over 3 different companies) while the Kent site has it at 50 Pounds before shipping (~$75). I'm not sure why there's such a variation in the pricing, maybe some of the senior members here can weigh in on this issue. I'm asking for $48 shipped CONUS.

Here are the specs (taken from Royal Shave listed @ $179.95)

Kent BK4 Traditional Small/Travel Silvertip Brush

GB Kent & Sons, founded in 1777 during the reign of George III, continues its unbroken tradition of excellence with the BK Silvertip series. These brush heads are extraordinarily lush, and the reproduction ivory barrel is stamped with The Royal Warrant and Kent's iconic company logo. The small size brush, excellent for travel, stands 110 mm tall with a bristle flare of 52 mm, and arrives in a red felt presentation case.

    Handle Diameter: 35 mm
    Brush Height: 110 mm
    Bristle Loft: 55 mm

You can get this brush fairly cheap from Auravita in the UK... 43 GBP shipped to the U.S., which is about $60-65 brand new.

I believe the US distributor of Kent products puts a hefty premium on the brushes for those sold in the U.S., so you're always better to grab them from overseas.

I would say, no matter what logo, this was a great deal on a BK4. Here in the States, you can't beat it with a stick.

You still got a good price on it, assuming it's in good condition. The $35 was an undersell, IMO. Paying $3 more than that guy did, however, kinda stings.

Especially since the OP kept mentioning how much it retails for here in the US (i.e. retails for $150+)... Not exactly what I would call an accurate presentation given that most of the people who own BK4s bought them from the UK at a steep discount compared to the US retail price.

I didn't remember exactly what I've paid for it since I've bought at least 10 (probably closer to 20) items or lots directly from this site in the past 2 months. I also buy or SRP and I'm a powerseller/ buyer on Ebay. I will gladly refund the difference as I'm not here to profit off of the members. Many of you who have dealt with me can attest to my integrity (I hope) and my most recent sale of a fat boy lot was a huge loss in terms of what I paid for it versus what I got for the sale. I honestly researched the value of the item and took into consideration the paypal fee and shipping. I feel that it was a fair deal but if Billy really feels a "sting" I will issue a partial refund for the few dollars difference. My apologies, Billy, if you feel taken advantage of or duped in any way. That was not my intention and maybe I should've looked at my past posts (which I did not). In fact, I didn't even remember which site I or from whom I purchased this specific item. I literally have 25 different brushes and many I'm in the process of restoring with new knots. It's no excuse but I don't keep track of what I pay for everything. I did not mean to be misleading and mentioned the pricing issues and even asked for feedback which I received from a vendor that was publicly posted. Had I known or realized I paid less for it here I'd probably have adjusted the price a bit. Either way, I stand by the fact that this brush is worth the cost and will immediately refund the few dollar difference to set everyone at ease. I have 25+ straights and the same number of DE. This is just a hobby for me. I hope I can make amends as I'd prefer to keep the reputation as being an upstanding gentleman and member of this forum.

I'm not here to make money and I didn't remember what I paid for this. I will be sure to look back at the old threads before I relist anything. I buy my shave items from at least 5 other sites and was only trying to offer a nice item at a fair price. I also asked that senior members comment about the pricing issue. I'm not an expert and will make sure to list anything I've purchased at no more than the price I paid for it. I feel especially bad about this whole issue, especially since I could've found it had I spent more time researching my own payment history. I did not mean to be misleading and but my description was accurate and based in fact. Unfortunately, I was missing some important information ie., what I paid for it. My sincere apologies.

Don't you mean $8 more? The final sale price was $43, but the OP only paid $35 for the same brush.

The guy before that (two sells ago) had it listed for $3 more than the price this listing started at. It's been changed since then.
