That is a special razor Don! Beautiful. I don't think I could shave with it myself...

Enjoy it Rick! I have a twin brother (-another one?- ;)) of that brush and I must say it is a killer with hard shaving soap.

I personally never thought I would have a problem using a vintage razor - afterall, even one is great shape is still a used razor. If it was used by someone else, I might as well enjoy it too.

But I have never owned a truly NIB collectable like the one you have there.
I would also have a hard time using it - you don't come across a 70 year old NIB razor very often.

Even if it was just used once, it would be easier to justify using it yourself
The box is stored its in the Den!! probally this weekend I am expecting some new creams so hopefully Saturday will be the day. I could not see keeping it in a box it is meant to be used. I take extraordinary care of my razors it we stay looking like this so If I ever do want to sell or trade it still will be in like new condition, But I do not think that will happen.

    Default Antique Store Bonanza

I thought some of you antique store scouts would enjoy a picture of the lot I hauled in yesterday at a local antique mall. Here they are, in the box, just as I found them. Now for the fun part-- cleaning, sterilyzing, polishing, shaving!!

So lucky! 2 fatties, an aristocrat, and some superspeeds... I'm envious :D

Just got my fatboy in from Canada.... it sure wasn't "mint condition" but there wasn't any finish missing, and boy does it shave nicely

That my friend is an excellent haul! Finding them that way is infinitely more satisfying than trolling the 'bay for razors.

Default Gift from my wife score!!

My wife came home with an unexpected present. I've been wanting to try the Proraso for a while now.

Also got a Frameback straight razor "Jaque Lecoultre Au Sentier" Frameback in the mail. No pic for that as it's in need of some TLC.

    yesterday was a str8 day:

    - Dovo Prima Klang
    - Harrison Wedge
    - Wade&Wingfield 4/8
    - Wade&Butcher ~6/8 or 7/8

I'm now in the process of restoring the W&W but the W&B has a small crack. It's not that big so I'll try to drill a small hole in the edge right where the crack starts to stop it from deepening. Maybe I'm lucky and I'll get it usable for shaving.
