  1. Default One Week of DE Shaving and Loving It!

I have been shaving with a vintage Gillette DE razor for a week, and it is great. I have not been this jazzed up about shaving since I was a kid and my dad let me put shaving cream on my face and take it off using his Gillette DE (sans bland of course!)

One piece of wisdom my father taught me long ago was to shaving WTG, and then ATG, and have been doing that since high school. This has probably helped with the transition to DE shaving. I still have to take it slow and concentrate on technique. Have had a few weepers, but Monday had my first real cut. Sure bleed a lot - glad I picked up a styptic pencil last week!

Don't know if I have had a BBS shave, but have been surprised at how much better the shave has been with a DE razor and blade. Thank you to everybody at B&B for their replies as well as their previous forum posts, the wikis, and reviews.

Keep up the good work. Like with anything the more you do something the more routine it gets. Before you know it it will become second nature. Just be carefull not to pick up any of the aquisition disorders that are going around, they can be difficult to get rid of...

Your shaves will only get better as you master your technique. In addition, you'll want to experiment with other products and that's half the fun as well.

Don't worry a bit about the badgers of honor you acquire while perfecting your technique. They add character. Welcome to the group and enjoy

Are you guys saying there's something wrong with having an acquisition disorder?!

Anyhow, welcome to B&B and congrats on the great shave!
