Default What can cause a badger brush to shed?

Some of you may remember when i made a topic about returning a shedding C&E Best Badger Brush. I have sent it out and am awaiting a replacement, i talked them out of making me pay 7.50 for the return.

My question is, is there anything thats known that will cause a badger hair brush to shed?

Possibly froze while in mail, making the bristles brittle?
Hard water minerals build up on the bristles, (i have hard water) again making them brittle?
Flicking the water out of the brush to hard?
Standing the brush up comparing to hanging it on a stand?

I never use too hot water out of the tap, the water is always warm/hot, i can put my hand in it without any discomfort

I would like to know any possibilitys that may happen, i have already made a brush stand out of a metal clothes hanger.

Like i said with my previous topic, with my luck if you put out 100 identical products in front of me, with the chances of defects being 1 in 100, i would pick, at random, the one that was defective.
