Hi guys,
I just picked up a 'Wade Wingfield, Arowhead, Sheffield" hollow ground straight razor from an antique shop.
It's a 5/8th wide blade, and has unusual text on the blade. It's in average condition and needsa bot of work to get it up to standard, but it looks ok.
The words "More sharper than your swords". Henry V, Act 111 are stamped into the blade, with a picture of a knight or someone regal next to the words.
Can anyone shed some light on Wade Wingfield razors? Are they reputable?
How old could this razor be?
Also, is Arowhead a place in England?
Any information would be welcome.
Will post some fotos later tonight.
Cheers
