A good idea?

I'd love a DE razor that had open comb teeth on one side of the head and a normal safety bar on the other. Does such a razor exist? And just out of interest, does anyone have any DE razor design feature ideas that they'd like but never encountered?

Are you looking for the blade to rest on the teeth like the Old Type, or float above the teeth like the NEW?

If the latter is what you seek, perhaps a Tech head, a lot of dexterity and a Dremel tool is your answer. By all means post your results if you try it.

Yes there is such a razor. Give me a moment or three, and I may be able to find it.

ahh, took less time than I thought. My Frimu razor. Not sure if that's really the brand or what. IC Frimu was a soc ialist leader of sorts in Romania. The case bears his name, and looks a lot like old Merkur or Apollo cases.

That gives me an idea about an old Bakelite closed comb razor I have. I could use a jeweler's saw and a needle file and make one side open comb and leave the other closed comb.
