Finishing Stone for Stainless Steel/High Carbon

Thislooks like pretty decent option for creating slurry on natural stones

I have the full set of those. They are hard to get a good grip on, and I wouldn't recommend them for trying to build slurry. The DMT W7E would work much better as it is thicker (thanks to the plastic backing). I have one of those, and it works pretty well for building slurry.

looks like you guys like bigger slurry stones than I do.

Seriously though, that little credit card sharpener can be held (I tried one in a Woodcraft store but didn't buy it)

I'll put my hat in the ring for 1um lapping film. Works great on any kind of steel. I'll throw a sheet of it in with the DMT...

+1 on the lapping film. I prefer to use natural stones (Japanese or coticule). But if I'm faced with a real problem blade, I'll fall back on lapping films. I've yet to find a razor they won't work on.

I've been working with a Coticule and it's been good - not great - so far. I'm still learning how to use it but it looks promising.
