Aloe Vera products

Does anyone use aloe vera based products to help reduce redness ie soaps or creams or aftershave products, and how do they perform for you?

Aloe is good for all sorts of things - dry skin, burns, helping cuts/spots/blisters heal, and so on. I have a couple of aloe houseplants and just use these - cut a bit off and rub the gel from inside the leaf straight on the skin. I haven't tried any aloe 'products' apart from the plant itself, which i figure must be the best (and cheapest) source.

I use both 98% Aloe gel and the Proraso pre/post aloe cream. I use both products pretty much the same way, as a pre-shave and as a post-shave moisturizer and healer. My skin really like aloe based products.

Following my shave, I use Thayers Witch Hazel with aloe followed by Jason 98% Aloe Vera Gel and then moisturizer.
