I have two unopened bottles of Templeton's in my cabinet. TOUGH to find, but worth it.

Old Portrero....from the makers of Anchor Steam..best rye money can buy, again, super TOUGH to find, but worth it.

Not sure what to recommend on a day-to-day basis...only for sipping on special occasions at my house :)
Someday, I hope I am worthy of the devotion my dog gives me today.

Just got some Redemption rye, quite tasty.

Rittenhouse is a favorite of mine as well.

I love a good Rye and I've been wondering about Bulleit Rye for quite awhile now. I'll have to pick some up.

I usually have a bottle of Old Overholt on hand for mixing and some other bottle or sipping...most recently it was Jim Beam Rye, the old yellow label bottle. It was better than I had expected.
    Is this your homework, Larry?

I just tried some Willett's and some Jefferson's and both were pretty damn good. If you can find it, Thomas H Handy or Sazerac 18 year are some of the best I've had. I managed to find a bottle of Van Winkel's but haven't had the nerve to crack it yet. Around here it's harder to find than even the 23 year Pappy.

Jim Beam Rye is plenty good for what it costs, and is probably the most readily available.

I'll beat the Rittenhouse Bottled In Bond drum one more time. I ranked it right with Templeton, Sazerac 6yo, Willett Single Barrel, and Austin Nichols Russell's Reserve, and I get it in Georgia for $18.99/bottle. It's the best bargain on the rye aisle in my book.

Totally agree, the Rittenhouse BIB is fantastic. I also have a bottle of Willet 5 year old single barrel rye that is bottled at 55%. The Willet tastes very similar to the Bulleit Rye as my understanding is that they are both distilled at the same location, LDI in Indiana. I just prefer the taste of the Rittenhouse more.

    Here is a review I did: http://www.connosr.com/reviews/ritte...ch-if-you-can/

This is a bit different. But I'm good for the occasional Rye Pale Ale (RyePA) here and there.

Like the first guy said, Old Overholt. After that Jim Beam used to have a decent rye. Go to a posh watering hole where you can test drive a number of brands. Problem I have with rye is, you can't pretend you were NOT drinking rye. Very strong on the breath. I once got "Rock and Rye" delivered by mistake. Oh, the horror!

Crown Royal. I really can't do Canadian Club. I don't find its flavour to have any depth.
