Care of the brush

My first brush, a $15 Tweezerman badger, just needs to be rinsed and it's ready to go next time.

I upgraded to a $75 super silvertip badger, but after I rinse it it appears to be matted up next time I'm ready to use it.

Does the more expensive brush need special attention? (I already hang the brushes upside down in stands.)

Hanging or sitting doesn't matter.

Rinse it, shake it out so the hairs are separated, and let it dry.

The tweezerman is a stiffer hair, and tends to separate out a bit on it's own.
