Best Badger vs. Silvertip

I know, like many other things, everything is a matter of personal preference but...

What do people think in regards to making lather? Which is better - best badger or silvertip?

Is a silvertip brush too floppy?

Does silvertip act like too much of a mop on the face instead of a brush?

Right now, all I have to compare any type of badger to is my burma brush

IMO it really depends more on the brand/brushmaker, and cannot really be generalized to grades of hair. My Rooney silvertip is probably firmer than my EJ best, but I have another silvertip that is no doubt floppier than both. A little searching on the forum will give you reviews and endless comments on quite a few brushmakers. Best of luck.

I think that there was someone who did some sort of test with both brushes... included a few pictures... ran them over... set them on fire... you know, all of the normal stuff.
