Another guitar question from yours truely

I don't quite have to ear to drop tune my guitar so if I want to put it drop D tuning is it just dropping the low E one whole step down(I can do this with my tuner) or how many?

Using your ear to tune is a necessary skill; when you're short on time, just tune your E string one step down with the tuner, but, seriously, for your own sake keep working on your ear training... not so much so you can tune the guitar without batteries, but because hearing the notes improves the rest of your playing.
