    Default another face lathering thread

A few weeks ago I decided to buy a shave stick for when I travel. It is Ogalla original bay rum shave stick. I have now used it two seperate occasions, and each time it goes on my face it burns a bit. I tried face lathering with VDH this week, and Ive noticed that I still a mild burning sensation, that is only slightly noticeable. I am using a Col Conks best badger brush. I am wondering if my skin doesnt like face lathering and/or it doesnt like the shave stick I am using?

With two variables you will have a tough time figuring out which is the culprit. Why not try lathering with the shave stick the same way you would with any other soap. In other words, don't face lather. See if the soap still irritates. If there is no irritation, then try face lathering again.

I am betting that the irritation is caused by the scrubbing of face lathering, but until you isolate the variables you can't tell for sure.

    Good luck.

I used the ogalla to make some lather in a bowl. Yeah it is definately the ogalla. I might not have rinsed the brush good enough after using the ogalla, and when I face lathered the VDH.
