I don't know. They were too mainstream for me, and I was paying too much attention to the ugly stepchild Milk Churn to the left of them.

I don't believe there is any distinction between the pre-Vulfix/Vulfix boxes. I think the only way to tell is to look at the labeling on the brush itself.
Engraving = Vulfix
Lampblack = pre-Vulfix
Engraving = Vulfix
Lampblack = pre-Vulfix
Pre-Vulfix boxes came with branded instructions, Vulfix with "care of your shaving brush" slip.
Made in England stamp can be found in older boxes, not all pre-Vulfix boxes.

I think most of the Simpson brushes at Pasteur's on 34th are Vulfix. My Colonel, which I am very, very happy with, is.

I notice the gister's box label is blue, the label on my P.B. Case is green (my Case is a lampblack labeled brush). Is there any significance to the label color?
