    Yep, and I'm planning to sterilise it and break it out in the next few days. If I can get results like I have been getting from my 1912 I will be a happy man.

    You should have, because you wouldn't have needed to test all those DE blades.

    Agreed! SE shaving was a bit of a revelation for me. I quickly switched from DE's to SE's. Can't quite explain why, but extremely close shaves are much easier for me to get with SE's. If you can find one, one of the pat'd 1901 (or earlier) "lather catcher" style of SE's are tough to beat for closeness and comfort. Don't let the age fool you -- they knew what they were doing 100 years ago!
