Default German made Wilkinson Sword Classic blades?

How do the German made Wilkinson Sword Classic blades compare to others?

I just started using my last Schick Plus Platinum blade. I have 5 English made Wilkinson Sword Classics. I also have letterk's large variety package of blades. (It just arrived this afternoon. Thanks letterk!)

I went to a grocery store today during my lunch hour and they have gobs of German made Wilkinsons on the rack. Are they any good? Are they worth $1.39 for a 5-pack?

The reason I'm asking is that other than these all I'm finding are the American Safety Razor company blades under a bunch of different names.

    Thanks,
    Dan

I can't compaire them to any in LetterK's pack as I haven't used any of those. (still a noob in many senses) I Just bought a 100 pack of these WS blades and I love them compaired to what I had tried them against in the past. There's another thread about the UK WS blades with some of us looking to try them. Someone mentioned the German WS are made in the same plant as the Merkur's, but may be a bit sharper and have been compaired to Swedish Gillettes. It's definetly worth $1.39 to try a 5 pack.

I've been using them in my slim adjustable and then switched to the swedish gillettes and they are pretty much equal from what I can see. Maybe the gillettes have a slight edge but not by much.

They're not bad blades, compared to the Merkurs I find them a bit sharper. Those are the only two types of blades I've tried so far, however. Looking forward to working my way through the sample pack.

I agree entirely with David in these views.

That`s quite interesting. Here in Germany, it is the most common blade, you can find it in almost every drugstore. I am quite satisfied with them, but I have often read on a German wet-shaving forum that people are not satisfied with them and think they are too dull. Maybe it is just because you can get them everywhere and they are not so exotic here.

Used one this morning - pleasant experience. Sharper and smoother than Merkurs, nowhere nere Euro Gillettes though...
