"Toray" brush head: anyone heard of this?

I was just poking around the Muehle-Pinsel website and I noticed that they were advertising a vegan brush that uses a synthetic material they call "Toray" for the head. Here's the blurb: "A vegan compatible, handmade model featuring Toray, a synthetic fibre developed specifically for wet shaving. Each individual fibre is split at its end, allowing for the creation of a top notch lather."

Has anyone every heard of this material or know anything about it? I googled the search terms "toray brush" and got plenty of hits for cosmetic brushes uses this material. I like my badger hair brushes just fine, but I am curious.
