Woohoo!
I just re-honed my razor from barely shaving to "do I really need a strop?" status.
I used the belgian coticule I got from www.bestsharpeningstones.com , and WOW. That was NEAT!
I got a slurry stone too - worked up some slurry, and went to it!
I honed my own razor sitting on my picnic table, listening to the creek.
After I let myself get the hang of it for a little while, I got serious, made sure the bevel was good, and wound up using the electrical tape (2 pieces, right?) for the final edge.
I also used the dilucot method of diluting the slurry, and my attempts to shave my arm and my face went from a struggle to cut the hair to an ease I only felt... well, after Mr. Rupp honed my razor!
Coticules! Woohoo!
-off to shave, shower, and buy an old razor at today's swap meet-
