Default FS: Ever Ready 1924 and Ever Ready head

I believe the head is a 1912, but I could be wrong. The complete 1924 is in very good + condition - plating's in great shape, and there's a small ding-scratch on head. The 1912 has some brassing by the teeth but is overall very nice. I'd like $16 for both shipped CONUS.

Forgive my ignorance, but what kind of blades do these things use? Do they use the same blades let's say a super speed uses? Also you said the head? I think they are very cool and interesting and for a great price nonetheless! Anyhow any info would be great, thanks! :)

Hi jpadilla - I've only just got into SE razors (my first one, and the other five I've ordered due to getting carried away, are still in transit) so I'm far from well versed on the gear.

These razors will take different blades to a double edge (DE) razor like your Super Speed. The blades for these razors have only one sharp edge (SE. or Single Edge razors) and are often sold by medical supply companies.

If you google single edge blades [Ted Pella apparently makes very good stainless steel blades that are PTFE (teflon) coated, much like many DE blades] you'll be able to see a bit more of them.
SE style blades are also sold as scraper blades (although the ones you should be using to shave apparently have a much better edge, so I'd advise against nipping down to the hardware store for shaving supplies) and there is a much narrower range compared to the DE razor brands.

I hope that helps a bit.
The problem with Arsenal is that they always try to walk it in!

Also, Walgreens carries Personna Gem Super Stainless Steel Single Edge Blades:

I used my Gem once so far and used these blades. Did the job.

    Early morning bump.

Need to move these. Will also take a trade - got an old Super Speed laying around just sitting in your den? Looking for a blue tip but will take a 60s SS. Make me an offer - any offer.
