Tutorial: How to face lather with shaving cream

I tried this for today's shave and it was the best shave yet with a cream. Much better than watery lather from a bowl. My lather looked thicker early though and I did wet the brush a couple times to hydrate the lather.

Thanks for putting this together. I tried this for my first DE shave, and I think I squeezed too much water out of my brush. I'll be giving it another go soon. Like a few others have said though, I just loaded the cream (Proraso Red) directly onto the wet brush, then started swirling on my neck. Saves a little time over spreading the cream around with your finger, or at least I think it would.

Thank you for this, I will try it next time when I shave. What I do is add some on the brush and start lathering, but this seems way better. Thanks

And the same! I had a not-so-uccessful outing putting the cream on the brush. Your way makes real sense.

PS: I've given this method a couple of tries now with TOBS and it works like a charm.
