What's new

Who can id this antique store find?

I got this awesome brush the other day at an estate liquidation/antique place for a song.

It appears to have a butterscotch bakelite handle, although it seems kind of faded. The badger knot has plenty of life left in it, in spite of it's age.

It's 100mm tall, with a 50mm loft height and 22mm knot. It's also completely unmarked, any guesses what brush this is?

Congratulations. That's very nice. It looks like a Rooney.

Edit: If it is a Rooney, the handle should be quite heavy.

:w00t: Really? What a lucky find, I've been on a tear lately. I actually also got a really nice automatic Seiko watch (w/ hacking 6106 movement) from '71 at the same place. I collect Seiko's too and I'm equally excited for the watch!

Edit: Brush weighs 58.5g

You are on a roll. You should go buy a lottery ticket.
I have a couple of Seikos from the early 70's also, but I bought them new. :wheelchair:
