    A nice slab of Sheffield's finest landed or shall I say crashed, in my mailbox a few days ago.


    A 9/8 wedge "W&B for Barber's use".
    Not only is it big, it's all original & has a beautiful patina.
    Just a good session with the hones & he will be ready for some real mowing
    Can-can scratch patterns!

    HOLY COW! I can't even imagine shaving with that.

    Without a sense of scale my mind keeps resizing the blade to 9/8, because I simply cannot imagine a razor that immense!

    How big are your faces?? Mine Gott!I have enough trouble with these at~15/16th OA+ But for eye candy, those huge cleavers can't be beat.

    I like the traditional look of the wrapped handle. I think I would like the feel of that grip. Where do you buy the oriental style blades like that btw?

    I wanted to post here a week or so ago, but with the chaos of moving it had to wait, but now that things are slightly settled down here we go!

    Up first are my big vintage Sheffield straights shown next to a Dovo 5/8 for comparison. As usual sorry for the photo quality!
