Jim, thanks for the link! It's always cool to know the approximate dates of manufacture for the stuff I bring home!

After trying to work out how many years worth of different shaving supplies I had for a topic someone posted, I realised that aftershave / cologne / EDT was my weak area. It would run out years before everything else so I has a trawl through the bay to see what was available in preowned aftershave and came up winning these.

Walked around Antique Alley all day in the rain and only found one Slim. Not a bad $2 spent.

I haven't found a TTO in the wild to date, so good score!

I just picked up a Shick Lady Eversharp off the bay. Looks in good condition and in original packaging.

    Default Flea market find

Stopped at few little antique stores while I was coming home from Jackson MS.

It pays to do a little recon work at your local antique and flea markets.

The Knack was found in a box of other razors and a very worn brush.
I left the two injectors and the brush there, and picked this knack up instead...

The black handle was found under glass up front in the "ritzy" part...

    Knack-$3

    Black Handle-$10

    not a bad haul

The Aristocrat and Schick Eversharp I got off of Ebay for a buy it now price of $14. I must have caught the auction right when it posted.

It's not perfect as far as the case goes, but the razor is pretty close. I'm not a collector!!! I've shaved with it twice now and it's the perfect razor for me.....I've found the one!!!!

I might find the blade holder to complete the set though....who knows.

I got me an Aristocrat earlier this month. I love it! It is my daily shaver.

The toggle, 2 single rings, Aristocrat, Senator, Sheraton, Goodwill, New Bostonian, New DeLuxe etc were pretty good as well. I reckon the US$350 I paid was a bargain.

Here's some pics of the double ring

Not bad condition for a razor that's 105 years old

I'll be sliding a Gillette Swede into it on the weekend and seeing how it shaves. I'm looking forward to giving it a run in the rotation.
I never liked double rings until I just saw these photos of yours. That my friend is mint.

I got this kit from eBay, obviously the case is Gillette, I am not sure if the rest of the set comes from an original kit? One of the tubes contains an unused shaving stick? Or a bloody big septic stick...

Not sure which razor this box is supposed to come with but at least standard and others fit in nicely.

I got my custom in the mail today. The blade is a Harner and the scales were done by Matt. It looks even better in person, if you can believe it. I also like how thick the tang is, gives it nice heft in the hand.

I'd better start doing alot of travelling soon. This is the second Travel Set I've won in a few days. I picked this up off the bay last night. It's one of the 1930's two piece Gillette razors.

You can't do any traveling. you have to be home when the postman shows up to sign for your packages.

    Default ebay silver tuckaway

So I went for this ebay Tuckaway in silver and got it for $43. I was kind of unhappy when I won it, kind of hoping somebody was going to top me. Spending too much of late. But then I got it. Here is the ebay pic:

And here she is after really marginal cleaning, no polishing:

43 bucks? Better then buying a cased Fat Boy!! IMHO.

It has the usual cracks, but knurling is fantastic. Very grippy, like it hasn't been used very much.

This may be one for collecting and not using. Definitely not mint, but maybe excellent?

I'm glad you got it, Jim. I threw in a bid at the last minute, but it wasn't enough. I'm glad it went to someone here. That looks to be in really great shape! Congrats!!!

    Thank you, your very gracious.

It's a lot of money though. We went shopping for plants this weekend and we bought 6 lavender plants, 1 nice Epimedium (Purple Prince) a couple of White Bleeding Hearts and it was cheaper then a cased Fat Boy.
