Talking Thought this was worth a laugh...

Got myself a 1940's SS at a low low price and spent an entire day cleaning it up to a really nice shine. After its first shave yesterday morning I went to wipe the head off with my brand new golf shirt...you can already see where this is going. ::SLICE:: Now I have yet another shirt to throw into "painting shirt" pile; home to all stained and ripped clothing I refuse to throw out much to SWMBO's dismay. Just need to get around to actually painting something one of these days ...

Yep, wiping down a razor blade edge is usually frowned upon by most folks around here!!!

The upside was that it was a shirt, and not a finger, so blessings there!!

I tried to take off the dried cake of soap that was on the top of the blade, almost managed to take of the top of my thumb. Glad to see you slashed a shirt and not a finger.

Could have been what's underneath the shirt as well! Yikes!

So much for trying to enjoy my razor's rediscovery of its shine...funny, I immediately looked at my thumb to check and make sure all was well. When I'm 6,000+ posts deep I am going to look back on this one and laugh at myself
