Default Uneven blade on EJ 89L

Hey guys, I was examining my EJ 89L today and I noticed that the blade sticks out unevenly on the sides. One side sticks out more...what's up with this? Is this normal? It's a derby vertical blade.

It's longer in the first picture than the second. It's definitely not a result of camera angle.

    Thanks

That doesn't sound good. Firstly, I would flip the blade over to see if there is maybe an irregularity with your blade. If that is not the case, you might need to contact the seller of your razor and explain your problem.

Simple elimination, first, try a different blade. If you get the same results, I'd agree with David and contact your vendor. I have an EJ89L I use every day with Derbys and have no alignment problem.

I had the same problem with the old R89 model because there's a groove at the bottom of the alignment pins. That's how they made the razor, it wasn't a fault.

In your case, I'm unsure if there's a groove but since the cap isn't made by the same company (Merkur vs. Muhle), I would say it's not normal.
