    Default Help ID'ing a Flair

I'm looking at getting another Flair, but I'm not sure I've seen one quite like this one. Its exactly like my '58 TV, but it has horizontal lines on the handle with the thin band at the bottom. Did Gillette produce such a beast or could this be a one off?
Oh, & the date code is D3 as well.

Sounds like it could be a later year SS.

Posting a photo would be the next thing to do.

I'll try to figure out the pics, but for now I can tell you its exactly like the TV with what looks like 9 horizontal bands that space closer & closer as you move toward the head.
Back to figuring out the pics!!

Just click on the paperclip when in writing mode and attach the pictures one by one.

Woops I guess I posted as you uploaded!

It's just a regular 1958 flair tip SS. Your TV SS is the one that's special.

Well dang! I was thinking the combo of horizontal bars with the slim band at the bottom made it special. I guess there's still that 1959 prototype on da bay! Its only, what, $500?

Oh yeah, the TV? Got it for $.50

+1 There are five different flair tip handles prior to the black handled. The '58 TV is the only one with no horizontal lines on the main part of the handle. Three of the handles have horizontal lines on the tip.

For some reason I was thinking that only the TV had the slim band just above the knob & that all others had the fat band. Thanks guys for helping me make an informed decision!
