Scope Blade Pics

A new derby blade, a new gem persona, and my spanish straight with a hair. I got a new scope toy im playing with, im going to be experimenting with my straights. I just thought I would share with you guys.

Nice pics! What magnification is that?

Wow! look at the edge on that straight.

I think its about "350x" give or take, I got it to go at "400x" since ive been playing with it. Ill post more pics as I experiment later in the next few weeks.

That straight was finished on my japanese natural with a few shaves in it too. Very smooth on the face compared to even a new factory DE or SE blade.

So, what microscope is that?

And a further question -- is that the full bevel we see or a secondary bevel?

This is something that has captivated my interest for some time.. Ever since I had a Gilbert Microscope Kit as a child..

Its a Veho 400x deluxe

As for the bevels I got more of the secondary in the DE and SE blades.

Thank you for posting the pics Ambrose. It's very interesting to see blade edges under a microscope.
