    Default Newest Acquisitions

So my newest buys came in the mail this week. I snagged an E1 fatboy for $25 total and got a three piece lot of GEMs for 14$ total.

The fatboy arrived in pretty decent shape I must say. It's no competition winner but not all that bad. The head has water-spotting on the doors and there seems to be light pitting on the TTO knob (see pics), then there's the typical lose of some color in the adjustment numbers. Would a light polish help remove the water spotting? As for the pitting, I assume it would require a replate but being this will be a shaver it isn't too big of a deal. First pic shows the black spot on the TTO knob which I believe is pitting.

As for the GEMs I got a micromatic which appears fresh from the factory clean, a junior, and some newer plastic handled razor. The junior has mild brassing on the handle and head but it gives it character. As for the plastic razor, I'm not sure what it is but it came with the deal so whatever. It's in great shape other than two SMALL plating spots on the head.

    A few more pics

I think I did pretty well. As for the last pick, it's the head of the micromatic. If you look in the center there's a circle etched into the head. Is this normal? If so what is the point? The circle is right under the microphone holes on the front of the camera, as you can tell the plating on the micro is pretty darn mint.

Finally I've threw in a pic of my collection. My poor little Progess was all by himself for two weeks. Now he's got a few friends

Nice haul! I use Simichrome polish to shine up the doors. I also use Nevr-Dull polishing cloth's but prefer the Simichrome.

That poor man has a HUGE fatboy in place of his head. Is that what happens when RAD finally takes over?
