"Limited Edition" Old Spice?

I recently bought two bottles of "Limited Edition" Old Spice on the Bay for what I think was a very good price. The scent kind of reminds of what my grandpa used to use. It definitely smells different than the bottle of "Original" Old Spice that I've had kicking around the medicine cabinet for years. I like them both, of course, but the new one is very nice. Has anybody else ever heard of such a thing?

It's made by P&G, and comes in a 4.25 ounce frosted glass bottle...

Pics?

It is likely original Shulton with different packaging. I have seen a few limited edition sets out there with frosted glass, wooden boxes, stuff like that. Haven't bought any as they were spendy but I suspect all were regular old Old Spice.

I was about the same question myself as I also picked up a limited edition bottle of Old Spice (Canadian version).

From all I've read, I think these date from the early-mid 90's and are not the original Schulton formula, but one of the 2 P&G reformulations before the switch was made to plastic. Of course, that's only IIRC so please let me know if I've got it wrong.

Here's a pic of the bottle I picked up. Frosted glass, grey stopper, yacht on the front, wording in both English and French:

Yep, same bottle, but I didn't get that cool red and silver box with mine...

Of course, I'm not particularly bothered by that, because I bought it to smell good with, not to look at or hang on to...

But it's still a cool box...

That looks like the newer logo that appeared after P&G bought Shulton.

If it is old enough the formulation will be close to original Old Spice. P&G started changing the formulation very soon after purchase. Regardless it's a nice bottle - enjoy! I Llike the newer formulations of Old Spice as much as the original. I keep both in my cabinet.

Gotta love Old Spice. I have the Pure Sport, the Limited Edition, and a bottle of Original that I've had for about ten years that is slowly being used up...
