    Default couldn't wait

I recently purchased two super speeds on the BST and wanted to shave with them. I have been trying everything to get a comfortable shave for a while and had begun using Coochy cream to shave with my mach3. Well i decided this morning that i couldn't waid for my edwin jagger brush and gentlemens best soap to arrive. Well i shaved with the '52 superspeed using derby blades and the coochy after my shower and other than where i tried to get too close on my neck (for a first shave with DE) I had the most comfortable shave of my life. I can't wait to see what improved technique, a quality soap and brush can do to improve my shave.
I have a flare, a slim, and a Gem in my den waiting to be tried.

Congrats on your first 'real' shave! You'll find that using a brush to lather a good soap or cream will improve your DEs performance greatly. Until you are comfortable with your DE technique, stick to shaving WTG. Your shaves won't be close but you should get few nicks and zero irritation that way.

A big +1. Having a good brush and soap to lather with is a fine pleasure!

I was able to go XTG and ATG on my cheeks and sideburns so i got cocky and thought i would try just XTG on the neck (the area I have always gotten razor rash and ingrowns) well I was dumb and won't do that again. But even with that my shave was more comfortable on my neck than I can remember having with my Mach3

Thank you, I am glad that I got over my irrational fear of "underengineered" solutions and have broken myself from the spell of the marketing blitz to sell me a minute amount of plastic and less metal than what is in a DE blade for $2 a piece.

Well i picked up some Thayer's witch hazel and after my shave this morning splashed a little on, well it let me know exactly where my technique failed but left my skin nice and smooth.
