"Children by the million sing for Alex Chilton when he comes 'round
They sing "I'm in love. What's that song?
I'm in love with that song."

Thanks for posting the videos. Been listening to Big Star all day, along with the Box Tops. Sadly, co-workers had no idea who he was when I mentioned his passing.
Truly a sad day for the music world.
The Box Tops, Big Star, solo, he was a tremendous musician.
Cheers,
Bob

so sad
Funny how some artists can exert such a huge influence yet be totally unknown by most folks. Alex Chilton was one of them. A true original.

"I never travel far, without a little Big Star".
RIP Alex.
I was thinking about this after I heard that Alex Chilton passed away-I never fully appreciated Alex Chilton or Big Star, even though almost every group that I have been into was heavily influenced by him...but after I heard the news I went back and re-listened to a bunch of their stuff, really incredible-What a loss-
