Default buck or two blades better than wilk whites!

well after searching high and low i finally found some DE blades that were not wilk whites. so guess where i found them... well you should know already... Buck or two (a cheap stuff store) and guess what... they were a buck! so since i needed blades i bought 7 packs (due to needing a $7 min purchase) and so later this night i loaded up with these "super-max platinum" and noticed them being much closer and smoother than my $6/pack-o-5 Wilkinson whites. less irritation and only a few weepers. (WS's usually give my 6-9) so needless to say im impressed with them. now lets see how they hold up against derby's and feathers when i get them later this week.

I presume you mean the Wilkinson Classic blades found in many drugstores. I didn't find these Wilkinson's as good as the older one but are still serviceable blades. I'm now curious about the Super-max Platinum blades as there have been several positive comments regarding them and they're one of the few brands I haven't tried.

Interesting. QED sells the Super Max-Platinum, I may have to try them.

Can anyone here compare them to Iridiums or Astras?

Are these the Super Max Platinum blades?

And are these the Wilkinson blades you refer to?

FWIW, Bed Bath & Beyond has these Wilkinson blades (made in Germany) 5 packs for $1.99 plus tax. I can't stand them, but YMMV.

I've never seen that Wilkinson packaging before. Maybe it's Canada only. Maybe they are the same Wilkinson blades? Hard to tell.

Nick Rivers: Hillary. That's an unusual name.
Hillary Flammond: It's a German name. It means 'she whose bosoms defy gravity'.
Nick Rivers: I'm pleased to meet you. My name's Nick.
Hillary Flammond: Nick? What does that mean?
Nick Rivers: Oh, nothing. My dad thought of it while he was shaving.

Yeah I have seen those blades at Shoppers Drugmart, they seem to have dropped those crappy Gillette DE blades for North America and put these instead. I don't know how these blades perform, but for $14 bucks they can keep them.
