Pitting after cleaning?

If a vintage razor has been cleaned up (not by me, am just looking at a couple to buy at the moment), and there is some pitting left on the blade away from the edge...should there be any (major) problems getting it "shave ready"?

if the pitting is away from the edge and there is no micro pitting on the edge you will be fine.
