Default What kind of brush is this?

    Hello from a Swedish newbe!
I just bought this old brush from a Swedish "ebay-site".

I wonder if anyone can tell me anything about this one.
Its old and the package has a german text.

I smells like from an animal, the bristles are really stiff.
Maybe the bristles will softening after a while...

I don't know the brand or anything, but it is a boar brush and will definitely soften up a bit with use. The tips of the bristles will split. Looks like a great brush

Don't know what kind of brush, but you will need to send it to me immediately for a thorough cleaning. I will sanitize it and send it back to you, uh, sometime in the future. J/K! Cool brush -

    LOL!

it is unused, do I have to clean it in some way?
In that case, what do U suggest I should use?

If it's unused, New old stock, I wouldn't worry about it. But if you want, you can soak it in hot water and borax. That seems to help break it in and sanitize it as well.

    Cheers!

As a fellow Swede I would suggest vinäger (vinegar) or ättika (the same kind of acid, but made from "pure" ethanol instead of wine). Don't know if we have borax here for sale to consumers.

EDIT: Of course mixed with water. If you use ättika you should use more water (it's often stronger).

It is an American term for a type of laudry detergent http://www.20muleteamlaundry.com/
...the best I can tell ( I am not a chemist) the closest European equivalent is Henkel Persil Sensitiv HE Laundry Detergent http://www.abt.com/product/3274/Henkel-SENSITIV.html
I hope that helps. As for vinegar I use 'white' Vinegar
