I bought mine at Crabtree & Evelyn. It was around $50 Canadian. It is a Edwin Jagger best badger. Small one with a travel tube.

There will be plenty of advice coming . . . perhaps you could further describe what you mean by a "good handle"?

    Good luck

Check out the Vulfix brushes from Lee's. The 660 small or medium would be great for starters. I have the medium and it works well. I also have a Simpson Case, which was about $40. Both are great, however, the Simpson is on the small side so I got the Vulfix to see what a bigger brush was all about. Great investments both. A small brush will be cheaper and will do the same job as a bigger brush. It just won't hold as much lather as a bigger one, which is no problem. Good luck.
